Antique Doll Journey
Painted face felt doll made by Lenci bears the Lenci stamp on the bottom of the feet.
This side glancing face model resembles a 118 and probably dates from the 1940s.
Two additional fingers sewn together dates the doll at 1926 or later.
Painted face felt doll made by Lenci bears the name Lenci the bottom of the feet. She has painted side glancing eyes and a somewhat pouty expression and two fingers sewn together. This same face is found in other dolls, so the Dutch Girl is know by her costume.
The 1927 Dutch Girl is 300V in the original catalog. She wore an embroidered cap that would have had lace at the trim, an embroidered felt dress with button accents, and a felt apron. Originally she also had wooden dutch shoes and carried a tulip in a pot. The doll pictured is missing the lace for a cap trim.
